Leonid Fink joined Merlin in 2006 as a Director. Prior to that he was the Editor and Senior Producer of Business programmes for the BBC World Service (Russian Service), leading a team of journalists, responsible for 3 daily business programmes, including the “Business Class” show, one of the most influential business news programmes in Russia.  He has been a regular commentator on Russian, CIS and Western economic and business developments, including G7 and G8 meetings, Russian elections, international summits and Davos.

He had previously held roles as Desk Editor for the “World Business Report” and as Presenter for the BBC Russian Service.  He was the Moscow “stringer” for the BBC between 1989 and 1993. He was selected in 2004 for the BBC Personal Development Initiative (PDI) programme. He attained a Master of Arts in Journalism from the Moscow State University (1986-91).
